About Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funding
CSQ is an independent, not-for-profit, industry-funded body supporting employers, workers, apprentices, trainees and career seekers in the building and construction industry.
The Building and Construction Industry Training Levy (the levy) is a statutory training levy established under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991 (Qld).
CSQ is funded by a statutory training levy established under the Building and Construction Industry (Portable Long Service Leave) Act 1991. The levy is charged on all building and construction work performed in Queensland with a cost of $150,000 or more (excluding GST) at a rate of 0.1% of the cost of the project. The levy is collected by QLeave.

Construction Skills Queensland (CSQ) Funding Eligibility Criteria:
Before commencing your application, please take the time to review the criteria. This will help determine whether you may be eligible for funding from CSQ.
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen; permanent resident of Australia; or a refugee and humanitarian visa holder.
Permanently reside in Queensland; or be permanently employed in Queensland.
Be an Existing Worker in the Building and Construction Industry; Eligible Worker or an Unemployed Eligible Worker.
Documentation
So that we can assess your eligibility for CSQ Funding of our Cert IV Hazardous Areas – Electrical, you will need to provide the following documents:
Current Electrical Licence
Cert III UEE30811 (or equivalent)
Front of certificate serves as evidence of your journey to your Electrical Licence, and the units listed on the back to ascertain what course credits for any electives you be eligible for. If you are unable to supply a valid Cert III, let us know.

Proof of Age Card

Existing Workers – Employees – Employer Letter demonstrating proof of employment covering 1 month within the past 4 (must be employed in QLD, must be employed in the Building and Construction industry). Download letter template here
Existing Workers – Self Employed – Letter from your accountant confirming that you derive income from work completed in the Building and Construction Industry. Download letter template here
OR a copy of an invoice or invoices detailing work undertaken for a client;
OR current QLeave Membership Statement.
Unemployed Eligible Worker – Statutory Declaration and/or separation certificate demonstrating:
Date of unemployment commenced less than 6 months ago
Name of employer
Job title of employee
Length of service with the employer
Details of duties undertaken to verify employment in the building industry

Apprentice Advance Plus Candidates – In addition to the documentation above, Apprentice Advance Plus funding applicants must also provide:
Commencement Letter from the Department (if currently employed as an Apprentice) OR…
Completion Certificate or Completion Letter or similar notification from the Department (if either an unemployed eligible apprentice or an eligible worker having completed their apprenticeship less than 365 days ago)
